About Plumber in Philadelphia
PlumberInPhiladelphia.net is a free service that assists homeowners in Philadelphia in connecting with local service contractors for plumbing work. The site exists for one situation: a Philadelphia homeowner has a plumbing problem — a burst pipe, a backed-up drain, a dead water heater — and needs to reach a plumber by phone, quickly, without working through a directory.
What is this site?
The site organises Philadelphia plumbing help two ways at once: by service (11 services, from emergency plumber to toilet repair, grouped under emergency plumbing, drain and sewer, water heaters and plumbing repair) and by neighbourhood (12 neighbourhoods, with their ZIP codes). Every combination of service and neighbourhood has its own page, so a homeowner in Fishtown with a blocked drain and a homeowner in Chestnut Hill with a leaking water heater each land on a page written for their problem in their area.
What is this site not?
This site is not a plumbing company and does not perform plumbing work. All contractors connected through this site are independent, and this site does not warrant or guarantee any work performed. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to verify that the hired contractor furnishes the necessary license and insurance required for the work being performed. Prices are set by the contractor who does the work, after diagnosing the problem, and are confirmed with the homeowner before any work is agreed.
How is the content written?
Every service page on this site follows the same structure: a definition of the service, the signs you need it, the process step by step, what it includes and what it does not include, the factors its price depends on, and answers to the questions homeowners actually ask about it, including the ones Google shows for these searches. Where a price depends on diagnosis, the page says so instead of inventing a figure.
About questions
Is this site a plumbing company?
No. This site is a free service that connects Philadelphia homeowners with local service contractors. The contractors are independent businesses; this site does not employ them, does not do plumbing work itself, and does not set their prices.
How does the site choose which contractor a call goes to?
Calls are routed by the service needed and the neighbourhood the call is about, to a contractor who covers that service in that part of Philadelphia. The contractor then diagnoses the problem and confirms the work and its price directly with you before anything is agreed.
